Checkups & Cleanings

The American Dental Association recommends that you visit your dentist at least twice a year for a checkup and cleaning. At your checkup, we will inspect your soft tissues for oral cancer, periodontal disease, and other problems. We will also look at each tooth in your mouth to assess problems like tooth decay or cracks, as well as old dental work. Sometimes old dental work wears out and needs to be replaced. We will be happy to replace metal fillings and crowns with tooth-colored alternatives. If you have not scheduled a checkup lately, be sure to call us now to make your appointment! Children as young as two should visit the dentist, and by age four or five, a child should attend regular checkups.

Tooth-Colored Fillings & Crowns

With modern dentistry, dark metal/amalgam fillings are not necessary. We prefer to repair tooth decay with tooth-colored, composite resin fillings. The procedure is quick and easy, and with tooth-colored fillings, they blend in with the natural look of your teeth. When a healthy tooth incurs damage, such as a large cavity or a fracture, we may recommend a crown to repair the problem. A crown is custom made to fit atop your tooth perfectly and snugly. Once in place, the crown protects the damaged tooth and restores full function, strength, and shape.

Full and Partial Dentures

Are you frustrated with missing teeth? Difficulty speaking and/or eating? Low confidence? We offer a variety of treatment options including complete and partial dentures as well as state-of-the-art implant-supported dentures.

What is a Partial?

A partial denture, often simply called a partial, is used to replace missing teeth. A partial is normally secured with clips or brackets, but unlike a bridge, a partial is removable.

What is a Denture?

A complete denture, sometimes called a plate, is a complete top or bottom row of teeth mounted on a gum-colored base. Dentures sometimes require adhesive to hold them in place.

Dental Implant-Supported Dentures and Partials

Dental implants are small titanium posts anchored into the jawbone. If you prefer a secure full or partial denture and do not want clips or adhesive, then consider implant-supported dentures. In a brief surgery, we can secure a few dental implant posts to hold your dentures in place. With implant-supported dentures, you won't have to worry about slippage, and your denture will feel safe and sound.
